Tilling the Soil: A Growing Church in Northern India

In the heart of northern India, a region known for its bustling factory towns and vast agricultural fields, God is at work through the faithful ministry of Ashok* and Pallavi*. This couple has dedicated their lives to sharing the Gospel and building a church community where few have heard the name of Jesus.

Blessed with three college aged children, Ashok and Pallavi’s lives are a testimony of obedience and perseverance. Their town is filled with hardworking men and women who labor daily in factories or on surrounding farms. Despite the long hours and challenging conditions, the couple has found countless opportunities to sow seeds of faith among those searching for hope.

By God’s grace, a vibrant church has taken root in this industrial region. What began as quiet conversations and small gatherings has grown into a thriving body of believers who worship, pray, and serve together.

Each week, Ashok and Pallavi travel to neighboring villages, often walking or riding modest transport, to share the message of salvation. Many have responded with open hearts, eager to learn more about Jesus Christ. Through home visits, prayer meetings, and children’s programs, they continue to till the spiritual soil and bring the light of the Gospel to those who have never heard it before.

One of the most remarkable fruits of their ministry is among women and children. Many women in these communities face poverty, social isolation, or lack of education, yet through fellowship and teaching, they are discovering new dignity and purpose in Christ.

Children’s gatherings are growing rapidly as well. Through songs, stories, and Scripture lessons, young hearts are being nurtured in the love of Jesus and building a foundation for future generations of believers.

The work in northern India continues to flourish, but it also faces challenges. Please join us in prayer for:

  • Church Growth: That many more will come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  • Strength and Provision: For Ashok, Pallavi, and their three children as they balance ministry and family life.

  • Protection and Health: Over the couple and their ministry partners traveling to remote villages.

  • Government Favor: For leaders at both the state and national levels to be tolerant toward Christians and allow freedom to share the Gospel.

  • Fruitful Ministry: That every seed planted will bear lasting fruit for the Kingdom of God.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” – Matthew 9:37

Would you join us in praying for and supporting the ongoing work of faithful field workers like Ashok and Pallavi who are bringing hope to the unreached?
