Rajender, a pastor in India, is well known in the community. He had recently attended a seminar put on by our partner South Asia Neighbor Outreach. Not long after, Rajender was in prayer when suddenly a light appeared and shone on his door. He took this as a vision or sign from the Holy Spirit that God was going to perform a miracle.
The very next day Rajender received a phone call from a man who was in desperate need of help for his wife. Someone had given him Rajender’s phone number hoping Rajender could help. “My wife’s not sick,” the man hurriedly explained, “but something’s badly wrong with her. She’s suffering terribly. Can you help?” Sensing the fear in the man’s voice, Rajender told him to come at
a specified time and bring his wife.
In the meantime, Rajender called prayer warriors from his church to come to his house at the appointed time. When the couple arrived, Rajender saw right away that the woman was living under the control of darkness, the evil one. He and his team started praying over the woman. As they did so, she started changing in appearance. The demons were being cast out of her in the name of Jesus who is the light. Little by little, God was setting her free.
When it was over, the woman sat calmly and in her right mind. The husband was in awe. “I don’t know how you did that,” he exclaimed, “but thank you, thank you, thank you!” Rajender explained it was not his doing, but the power of Jesus Christ. They left and Rajender did not expect to see them again.
The next day, the couple returned wanting more prayer! And they came the following day, and the one after that! “Every time they came,” Rajender said, “my wife and I prayed for them and shared about God’s love and how they could receive forgiveness for their sins and salvation through Jesus’ death on the cross.” The couple soon came to faith in the Messiah, and Rajender baptized them on July 24, 2024.
Rajender said, “We give praise that God is bringing this family into His Kingdom. They have two daughters who are also very interested in the Bible and actively participate in church. Please pray for them that they will remain strong in their faith in Jesus Christ. And pray for their family, employment, and their children’s studies.”
