Gifts Processing Specialist

Partners is looking to add a Gifts Processing Specialist to our Operations team.
The Gifts Processing Specialist would be responsible for managing the timely processing and acknowledgement of all gifts, pledges, pledge payments, matching gifts, memorial and tribute gifts and other contributions.

100% remote, work from anywhere.

Part-time average 15-20 hours a week. November-January up to 30 a week.

Perform complex constituent data entry with acute attention to detail.
Timely and accurately retrieve and log all donations received by mail each day or via lockbox reports.
Maintain compliance with Partners procedures to ensure security of checks, cash and credit card information.
Coordinate the processing of incoming gifts and donations according to established protocols. Responsible for entry of all philanthropic gifts, pledges, and payments into Virtuous (our donor database) along with supporting documents.
Print and mail donor receipts for each processed gift as applicable.
Review and import electronic gift data from online donation platforms (WooCommerce and Raisedonors) to Virtuous.
Maintain confidentiality of all information and use appropriate discernment when handling confidential data.
Actively maintain donor data integrity in Virtuous to ensure accurate donor records.
Be sufficiently knowledgeable about the donor database to answer inquiries from the Development team about prospects, gifts, and pledges using the Virtuous database.
Prior related experience with fundraising, accounting systems and software a plus.
Support the Operations team with various other accounting or finance projects.

At least a high school degree, bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years prior related experience in accounting, accounts receivable, bookkeeping and/or gift processing.
Two to four years of office experience required; experience in a fundraising environment a plus.
Understanding and ability to use simple math and grammar with accuracy.
Data entry and user-level database experience required; familiarity with CRM systems or databases used in fundraising preferred.
Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel and familiarity with using zoom or other video conferencing tools.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Experience with donor databases. Virtuous database experience a plus.
Excellent aptitude for using other office equipment such as copy machines, printers, calculators and adding machines.
Knowledge and experience in working with processing gifts through a lock box a plus.
Ability to work with moderate supervision exercising excellent professional judgment.
Proficient skills for attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
